Yes, it’s so far a “mild winter” and the sounds of air conditioners fill the air. With the exception of that snow day a while back, I’ve not had much of a chance to don sweaters and it’s essentially felt humid and warm for the last two weeks. So are we all going to die because of it? Using the somewhat-not-scientific method of just checking to see if we are setting records for these temperatures I’d say “not yet.” Even though I am sure this research could be easily discounted by someone who begins their sentences with, “Well, actually…” Anyway, here are the record numbers…
Jan. 6: 79 °F (1989)
Jan. 5: 78 °F (1955)
Jan. 4: 80 °F (1952)
Jan. 3: 80 °F (2000)
Jan. 2: 81 °F (1952)
Jan. 1: 81 °F (2006)
Dec. 31: 81 °F (1973)
Dec. 30: 81 °F (1990)
Dec. 29: 81 °F (1974)
Dec. 28: 82 °F (1974)
Dec. 27: 80 °F (1959)
Dec. 26: 80 °F (1987)
Dec. 25: 79 °F (1987)
Dec. 24: 79 °F (1974)
Well, actually …. you’re absolutely right. We are all going to die.
Except me… I’m working on a plan.
If this keeps up I’m going to have to start cutting the grass(weeds) again.
