I’m not sure if the BP Gulf Volcano has surpassed the Valdez in total amount but I am thinking it has. Even a layman would know a spill from a finite source (Exxon Valdez) would be a drop in the bucket compared to a gushing hole in the planet.
Even though the fishing industry, oyster farmers and the men killed are the greatest victims in this event, I grow tired of the South Louisiana region as a whole being victimized by the greed and complacency of men. My only hope is that with British Petroleum on the hook for this, the State can actually sue someone and make them responsible as opposed to the levee failures.
