Our neighborhood assosciation, the APA sent an e-mail out this morning showing the area mentioned by Susan Macclay of the West Bank levee district in yesterday’s press conference with Mitch Landrieu.
The spot here in blue described yesterday by Macclay as having a very real possibility of flooding and being reclaimed by the river. The larger stronger earthen levee being right behind the area.
The only thing the neighborhood my possibly lose is the Folk Life Village located between the larger levee and the smaller one.
Neighbors say the sidewalk on top of the levee there is already moving.
